Hallo zusammen!
Kann es sein, daß DD in den LC sehr oft Türen und Räume als Metaphern benutzt, um das Innerste UHH's zu beschreiben, dh. immer wenn er jemanden emotional an sich heranläßt, oder abblockt, oder habe ich da nur zu viel William Blake gelesen?
Das ist mir eben gerade an dem Satz aus GoK (Schluß) aufgefallen, wenn er Sybilla wiedersieht:
"In a lifetime of empty rooms, this was another... Then there was a whisper of silk....and a wild relief that deluged the tired and passionate mind"
Sein "Mind" als Raum, zu dem nur wenige Zugang finden, und umgekehrt, meistens macht er die Tür zu?
Um nur einige andere Beispiele zu nennen (auf die Schnelle gefunden)
CM: "Put him, blindfold, into a closed room anywhere in the world, and he could tell if Sybilla was with him...
he closed the door, and then turned calmly and looked at her...
put him, blindfold, in a closed room anywhere"...wird später wiederholt
Als er nach dem Streit geht, wird auch noch mal explizit gesagt "he closed the door"
Anderes Beispiel DK:
...Reality for her began when her absent son Francis ...stood deferentially at the door of her parlour...
...Then Lymond closed the door, and not even Richard would have intruded on them then.
Oder CM
..the house of opium has many rooms, which may be visited every night after the key is first turned in the lock, and every night after it is withdrawn again...
